Meet Dr. Kathleen Park, a dynamic scholar influencing how we think about leadership, innovation, and global strategy. As an Assistant Professor of Administrative Sciences in the areas of Strategy, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, at Boston University, Dr. Park brings degrees from Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and the MIT Sloan School of Management to her work at the intersection of business strategy and sustainability. From the boardrooms of billion-dollar mergers to the entrepreneurial ecosystems of emerging markets, she delves into how top leaders navigate complex challenges, spearhead innovation, and build organizations equipped to thrive in a globalized world.
Dr. Park’s research spans the range of innovation, internationalization through mergers and acquisitions, global strategy, leadership, and billionaire philanthropy at both the corporate and individual levels. Her work is informed by field research in the US, Europe, Southeast Asia, and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region of the Arabian Gulf, where she has explored how emerging markets shape and are shaped by impactful entrepreneurial leaders. She has delivered over 100 scholarly presentations in every region of the world. Her publication record includes numerous articles, book chapters, and books including Strategic Decisions and Sustainability Choices: Mergers, Acquisitions and Corporate Social Responsibility from a Global Perspective (2019) and the forthcoming Mergers, Acquisitions, and Geopolitical Dynamics in the Global Market (2025) and a 3-part series on Innovation and Supply Chain Transformations: Humanitarian, Digital and Ethical Advances in Supply Chain Management and Logistics (2025-2027). Her research has earned awards from the Academy of Management, the European Academy of Management, and the Global Business and Technology Association, underscoring her impact on global thought leadership.
